ENQUIRIES BY BRITISH MANUFACTURERS. A SPECIAL COMMISSIONER. LONDON. January 11. The Manufacturers' Association of Biitain is despatching Mr Ben Morgan as commissioner to inquire into the- trade position and prospects in Australia, and Canada, especially a.s to the extent and possibilities of the market in relation to an increase in the export trade, and to establishing branch factories behind the colonial tariffs. Mr Morgan will also report on question relating to competition and shipping. He will likewise try to secure further re due!inns in the tariff and increased preference.
