In reply to Mr Lloyd George's invitation to express an opinion, tho Huddersfield Chamber of Commerce declares that the increase! in the Australian duty on .woollens is necessarily prejudicial to Hiukk-;isfield, but. as the Chamber recognises the absolute: right of the Commonwealth to foster its own industries, and be judged if the amount of duty necessary. it does not consider it desirable to offer any opinion regarding Hhe duties. MELBOURNE, Dec. 5. The House restored kerosene to the free list.
