Supremo Court to-day, George Cowan, who had been found guilty of stealing £l3 belonging to' David Morgan, at Feilding, was sentenced , to. eighteen l ' months' imprisonment. Patrick iJreely, charged with committing damage„ in 1 Palmer&iton Hotel, was sentenced <to .one month*' imprisonment. Daniel Desmond O'Bik'ii was charged with stealing £4, a watch, a knife ftna a key from the person of Jacob at" Dannevirke. Prisoner pleaded not , guilly to 'stealing" but admitted" staking* 62s of Sorenscn'.s money. This plea was accepted by the Crown Prosecutor, and prisoner was remanded till Saturday; for the probationer officer to report. Thomas , Haws pleaded not guilty to «, charge of stealing a. sovereign case and £5 10s from a dwelling at Dannevirke. Accused was found not guilty. CHRLSTCHURG/11, Nov. 19. Rowland Wilfred Lang down • was. acquitted on a. charge 'of making-, <i fake statement, to the Registrar of Marriages concerning tliu age' of his wife James Mclntyre was sentenced t*> three veare imprisonment ifor burglaiy. and Frank 'Javier to 18 months. , At the- Supreme Court to-day, Lilian Fanny Hobbs. charged i\ith disposing of I Ik- body of her "dead' infant with intent ■ to conceal the fact that hhe had been deTivered of the child, pleaded not guilty. Tho facts were* that accused was "employed in Fail'i* restaurant. The body of the child was_Jound in tlie lavatory after uecufeod, who was supposed to have been suffering from an attack of cholera, had b.'en there. The. jury found a verdict of not guilty. . .
