Prince Bulow, in the course of • strenuous evidence, indignantly repelled! the aspersions contained in Brand's pamphlet. Prince' who was a witness for the defence, denied that lie- was behind "Brand. He emphatically -denied ihe charges levelled elsewhere against himself. Both Counts Hohemau and Lynar, who were called as witnesses for, the defence, failed to appear, and it was 'stated' that they were out of the country.
