Ciiitouif? duties 993 6 11 Be«r duty 43 19 5 Other receipt* 18 4 6 Total £1055 10 3 HORSE SALES. * The Canterbury Fanners' Co-operative Association, report on the horse market at TattersallV yards on Saturday as follows : —The yarding comprised 24 draught, light harness and hackney horses. All young drafts fit for present work met a good demand and sold at the following isolations:—£3s. £3B 10s-, £4O to £42; do. liaht and aged. £l2. £l4. to £18: light harness sorts. £22 to £25; hackneys £7 10s to £9. LAND SALKS. At'Tat'ersaH's Land Salerooms on Saturday afternoon there wa-s a large attendance when Mr J. Munde:l submitted to auction. .Mr Robert Davie's farm of 367 acres at Washdyke. The farm is sub divtded into 10 paddocks: 110 acre* in oat*. 30 acre* preparing for turnips: balance in English grass. The improvements consist of 7-rooxned dw-elling lionee. washhonse, dairy. 15-stalied stable, "byte for 8 cows, loosebosr. buggy house, pigstyes, sheep pards. etc. Bidding started at £lB per acre and at £2l the property was passed in to tbe bid of Mr. G. Sullivan of - Polling. It, is expected that tl;> farm will.-be sold during the coming week.Messrs Dalgety and .Co.. hayc.-.received the' following cable mesage dated- London October 31st:—Frozen" meat—Since our bet. "telegram prices for frozen mutton in general are lower by par to id. The frozen..meat market is dull, but an improved demand is expected provided the cold weather continues.
