Ltd., report on" the horse market at TatterealFs yards on Saturday as follows: There was only a small yarding of draught horces, but the competition for young sound stock was exceedingly good, prices showing a decided improvement on lata values. Quotations are as follows: —Draughts, young, with trials. £3O, £52 to £36; ditto, light and aged. £lO, £ls to £18; light harness sorts, £lO, £l2 to £l4. LAND SALES.

On Saturday the Canterbury Farmers' Co-operative Association offered the undermentioned properties:—Account Mr JNeville, jun., 8 acres, lease in perpetuity, Orokipaoa settlement,- Milford, with a two-roomed house; sold at £lO5 to' Mr John Taylor. Four building sections, situate in Otipua road, the property of Mr Samuel Trevurza were withdrawn, a bid of £llO for one section containing 1 rood 25 perches* being the only offer made.

Messrs Guinness and LeCren offered three properties, but none was sold. For ten acres of land on Quarry road, the property of Mrs Weir and acres between Wai-iti and Quarry roads ho offers were made A section in Stafford st., containing an eighth of an acre, with a shop thereon, offered on behalf of Mr D. T„ McPhedron, was passed in at £B9O, Mr W. Anderson, of Waimataitai, being the highest bidder. '■ • .

BESWICK STREET ROOMS. C. Jonas and Co. report for the past week as follows: —Hens 2s 9d to 4s, ioosters 3s 9d to 4s 3d, ducks 3s to 4s 6d, turkey" hens 7s, gobblers 14s, pullets 2s 3d to 3s, all at per pair. Produce— Potatoes' prime 7s to Bs, medium 5s to 6s, inferior 3s to 3s 6d, seed 3s, pig Is 6d, wheat whole 19s, broken 16s to 18s, oats 15s to 16s, seconds 12s to 13s .swedes 2s 9d to 3s, carrots 2s 9d, mangolds 2s, all at per sack. Bacon 6£d to hams 6d to 9d, onions |d to Id per lb, 6s per cwt. Fruit—Sydney oranges Bs, lemons 9s, per case, apples lis to lis 6d, at per case. Pigs, 2 at 20s each.
