September 14. , The Legislative Council, on Dr Jameson's casting vote agreed to Dr. Jam-csan's motion to resume discussion on lire Appropriation Bill. IDr Jameson -emphasised that the Cornell was bound in the country's interest to fight the question out. He pointfd out that, when a similar rituation arose in New Zealand .the law officeis decided against the Upper House. He declared that ii the Government with a majority in the Lower House: resigned now, it would establish a precedent stopping all constitutional government. The Council .after the discussion, again by 11 to 10 voted! that the chairman leav? the chair. [The Council consist of 26 elected members, and the House of Assembly of 107 ■elected members.] UNREST IN ZULULAND.. OFFICERS AND MEN WARNED. Received 4.9 p.m., September 15th. September 14. Owing to tho unrest, in Ziilnland, the officers commanding the militia have been privately warned to hold . themselves in ■leadmess to take the field at a moment's notice.
