Went out and took 'him to the Hawera. Hospital. It is expected that he will recover.
OAMARU, August 17. This morning an accident happened to a man named Tlios. White, who was. employed 'by the ' Railway pepartment. He arid another man- were engaged unloading ( ii truck containing a large base, and two slabs of marble. The"truck was bumped! bv a shunting engine, can sing one of the slabs to fall across Whites legs, breaking both. His ■ (companion narrowly escaped.
