SKIN SALE. Tha fortnightly sale of skins, hides, wool and tallow was held yesterday afternoon- There was a goocl attendance of buyers, but. the sale was somewhat dragging. Quotations are as follows Skins .—Crossbred ss, 6s, 6s 6d to 6s 8d ; halfbred 3s 6d, ss, 5s 4d to 6s; threcquartsrbred 5s 3d, 4s 6d, 6s 6d; hogget , 4s 4dlambs 2s 4d. Pelts realised Bd, 1:1 to Is 2d. There was a larga entry of fat sheep, and the risa of tba previous week was well maintained. Extra prime wethers 27s to 56;. prime 21s to 26s Id, lighter 15s to 2?s. prime ewes 18s 6d to to 18s, aged 9s 6d to 14s 6d. Cattle. —217 head of-fat cattle were yarded. There was a good demand throughout, and late rates ' maintained- Steers brought £6 io £io i7sll, heifers £5 & 6d to £lO 10* cows £6 5s to £9 7s 6d, calves Is 6d io £3. There were only a few odd iot.. of store cattle penned. For dairy cows prices ranged from £3 10s to £8 lGs. —There was only a small enlry and prices all round were easier. Baconers made 5Cs to 71s, large porkers_ 38s to 445, lighter 28s to 365, weaners Is 6d 'to. 13s. ISUIIXSIDE STOCK SALE. DUXKDIK, '.Tilly 10. Sheep.—l 972 were yarded. The quality offered was good and for best sheep the prices obtained were perhaps a shade batter than last week, while for medium and unfinished sorts prices showed an advance of about Is. Quotations Best, wethers 23s 6d to 255. extra heavy up to 295. medium 'to good 18s to 21s-,-light 15to 17s. ewes 13s to e.xW'a to 21: 6d. light and inferior lis to 12s cd. Lambs. —BCO were yarded. Tlure wera a few pens of extra good, but the bulk of the yarding was made up of medium mialitv. Wheat.—During the past week there has been a ready sale for all prime nulling quality at prices somewhat in advance of late quotations. Medium milling sorts are being largelv used as fowl wheat which has becmne vcrv scarce. Quotations— Prime' milling 4s 6d to fe Bd. medium to good 4s 5d to 4s s|d, whole fowl wheat 4s 3d to 4s sd, broken and damaged ca 11M ti> 4s 2d. sacks extra.
