Thompson,' the referee in the match between^'High School' and Celtic, reported Oi Walters - for striking a High School player. Walters explained that Mackay, a' school player was holding on to him while the bail was in play, and he merely swung lound to free himself. Mr P/ilmer .sudd that this was not an unusual thing'; in the match' the following week another player deliberately took a High School players head ( .under Ms arm and punched his nose. In regard to the case before the meeting, .Mr Palmer moved that the charge be dismissed, and this was carried'. \ '-'•'■ - The Seddon Memorial Committee asked that all matches tet down for. June 20th bi postponed, as it was intended to hold an open-air service in commemoration of the death of the late Premier on that afternoon.—Request- granted. .-■"., The secretary reported the credit balance from the seven-aside tournament as £25 6s 3d. Mr G\ Strachan reported a player in the Star 11. v. Pirates 11. match for using an abusive epithet to him; he could not find out the player's name. He, however, named two nvm, who appeared at the meeting. After an enquiry the players (Brown and Griffiths) were suspended till the end of the sea-son. Mr C. F. Collins, referee at a schools match, reported two spectators for inciting the players to rough play and using bad language. —R. tarred to Management Committee. Mr Palmer brought up the case of the High School team, who did not get a half holiday. He- a&ked that the Union endeavour to arrange for them to play at 3 o'clock, so that- they would not lose the whole half-day, and "also that .something be done to make their travelling lighter. It was decided to refer the matter to the Management Committee. After a discussion on school football, it was decided to adhere to th-a. present programme of matches, and' that the premiership bj decided on the prevent competition. Mr Deans asked whether some-Jiing could not b:: done to remove the apparent unfairness that- the Geraldine Club should have to pay £6 per annum for their grounds. He did not think-it right that the town clubs .vhould be provided with grounds free of charge, while Geraldine, Waimate, and Temuka had to pay for them. The chairman thought something might be done, at the annual mating. In reply to Mr Kennedy, the chairman assured him that it was the duty of Union officials to report any offences unobserved by the reft re e. * Accounts amounting to £3 12s were passed for payment. Zingari v. Geraldine IT. (referee. Mr Glover).—This niaic-n was played at Geraldine on Thursday, be-font a good number of spectator, and resulted in a win for Zingari by 14 points to 6 points.
