TRINITY TENNIS CLUB.

A. most successful concert was held in Trinit-v Kail last evening by the Trinity IVmiis Club before a large and appreciative audience. The, stago was tastefully decorated with t.oi-heads and flowers, while tennis, rackets arid net were cleverly arranged as .symbolic of the game, towards which-the proceeds were to be devoted. The programme was opened by a, piano f-010 Greig's "Wedding Day" by Mr Kdgar Randall, A.T.C.L., which was tastniully and artistically played. Mr S. Gilchrist, was in excellent voice, and his .singing of the "Toreador's Love Song" met with a rousing encore/ -Mi's Rennie and Miss McCahon were encored for their contribution " Tile Danube River," while Miss L. Gilchrist was very successful in her solo entitled "Melody of Life-," to which a flute obligato was played by Mr H. Holdouts, and this item also met with an enthusiastic reception. 'Miss N. McCahon va.s in good voice, and after singing "Douglas 0 Gordon.'" had to respond to an emphatic encore. Mr and Mrs J. W. Holdgaie's duet was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The second part waa opened with a* pianoforte solo " Nocturne in E Flat" by Mr J. Maver, whose rendition met with hearv applause. Mr Neil Black sang the '" Bandolertf," and responded to the applause with " Out on .the Deep," and Mr Chris. Fvfe's violin solo "Intermezzo from Mascagni's Cavalleria Rustieaua" was aim encored. A duet, "The Two Beggarfi," was sung by Messrs Chapman and Steele, in costume ; " and proved' a popular and amusing item. Mr .Toll'was beard to advantage' in his song " She is far from the Lund." During the entertainment selections were contributed by a male, quartette, and a double tiuartctte, t-he it-ems being "Oh to be a Wild Wind." "ThThree Humble Bees." "Oh. Hu~h Thee." and "Sleep. Baby Sleep." and Messrs Chapman, Steele," and- W. Chapman 'provided much amusement in the catch ""Twas you, sir!" The programme wn" brought 'to a close, by a gle-e " Good Night •" by the full eomnanv.
