THE COBAR STRIKE

The strike at Cobar has thrown over 2000 men out of employment, and plant valued at £5,000,000 is idle. It is feared that the mines will become flooded, and serious damage result to the machinery unless hands are obtainable to inan the pumping machinery. The management is firmly determined to ~ resist the strikers' demumds.

RAND MINERS GO OUT.

In accordance with a previous decision, the men employed at eight of the Rand mines have struck.
