Moon rises, 1.3 a.m.; sets, 3.3 p.m. ARRIVED. May 6—Poherua, s.s., 1175 tons, Todd, from "Westport. SAILED. N2. IX HARBOUR. Steamers —Atuwa and Poherua. EXPECTED ARRIVALS. Koonya, s.*., this morning. Storm, s.s., to-day. Corinna, s.s., on Friday. Corinfhic, s.s., on May 13th. The steamer Victoria experienced stormy weather on the, voyage from Sydney to Auckland. Some slight damage -was sustained on deck. The Arawa earne into harbour from the roadstead early yesterday morning, and vas loading mutton up to 1 o'clock kst night. She -will complete loading to-day and sail '.'Has evening for Lyttelton. The Poherui arrived at 10.30 a.m. yesterday from Westport with 412 tons of GreyState coal and 1500. feet of timber. She has a few tons of empties to take in and will sail this morning for Oamara. The Minister of Marine, having reviewed the evidence at the preliminary inquiries into the harbour collision between the steamers Kestrel and Rotoinahana, and between the steamer Kanieri and the ketch Dawn, it has been decided that a Magisterial inquiry shall be held.
