'.'..' A HUMAN. SUFFERER. ' INFECTIOUS NEW ZEALAND HIDES. United Press Association—-Per Electric Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, April. 18. A man - suffering from anthrax was admitted to the hospital to-day. The chair man of the Board of Health states -that careful investigation shows that last week a firm of stock and" station agents imported consignments of hides from ,New Zealand. ■ They were shipped on a coastal steamer at New Plymouth and afterwards placed on board the Monowai. Only one bundle of hides was handled in Melbourne, and from this the man appears to have contracted the disease.
