She will land timber from Greymouth and about. 200 tons of coal from Westport. The Hawea arrived from Greymouth on Saturday morning .with 180,000 feet of timber for various local consignees. After discharging, the' Hawea sails for. Lyttelton. All of the transhipments from the Xew Zealand Shipping Company's steamers Turakina and Opawa. have now arrived at Timaru,' the last Tot being landed on Friday and. Saturday. The New "Zealand Shipping Company's twin-screw steamer Turakina is to arrive' from Lyttelton to-morrow She will stop probably for a couple of days. loading wool. meat. etc. The big White Star liner Athenic (Dal--sety and Co.. agents) is due at Timaru on'the Bth of April. The Athenic is to load wool, meat, etc., for England and will probably be- in port for a couple of days. i The Shaw. Savill and Albion Gompam r 's new twin-screw steamer Arawa. whiclvha:< just been launched by Messrs- Harland and Wolfe, of Belfast," is to be -used in the company's trade in the Australasian colonies. "The-Arawa is to call at Timaru on her maiden trip; being due at Auckland on the Bth prox., and Timaru a week or so later. The Arawa left Liverpool on February 23rd. The firsy. and now an old boat of that name, is still the holder of the record for-fastest time between Xew Zealand and London.
