ADDIXGTON STOCK MARKET.
Per Press Association. CEEISTCHURCH, November 28. Sheep—There -were only a* few lines of store sheep offered mostly shorn 2-tooths, and there was a fair demand. Four and 6-tooth wethers sold at 15s Bd, 4-tooths 14s 9d, and 13s 6d, 2-tooth ewes 14s lOd to 16s 3d. For fat lambs there was a good demand for export, but on a lower level of prices, there being a decline of about 9d per bead on the week. Prime lambs made 15s to 19s (and lighter sorts 15s to 14s 6d. The yarding of fat sheep was smaller than last week's. There was a good demand for freezing wethers and the few lines on offer sold well up to late rates. Ewes were easier, especially aged sorts. The range of prices was— Shorn wethers 17s 6d to 22s 3d, wooly wethers 24s 3d, best shorn eires 16s to 13s 3d, others lis to 15s 6d, woolly ewes 21s 7d to 23s Id, shorn merino wethers 10s 6d to 10s 9<L T Cattle—A good number of fat cattle were penned. The sale was somewhat irre- ! gul&r and prices hardly as firm as last -week. Steers brought £6 10s to £ll 2s 6d, heifers £s'ss to £8 ss, cows £4 7s to £7 15s, calves 7s 6d to 425. There "were a few good lines of store cattle offered and they met with more enquiry- than of late. Yearlings made 17s to 225, heifers to eighteen months 35s to 45s 6d, 2-year heifers £2 14s to £2 19s, 2£-year to 3-year steers £3 to £3 13s 6d, 3-year steers £5 Bs, 2£ and 3-year steers £4 6s, dairy cows £3 17s "6d to £7 10s. Pigs—Fats sold up to last week's rates, while stores were easier. Baconers made 38s to 555, medium stores 20s to 255, suckers 8s to 12s.
