Per Press Association STRATFORD, June 30. When the afternoon train 'from New Plymouth vrafi near Midhurst to-day a. Maori named Hori Rone', of Piprriki, fell off the carriage platform and struck the bridge, being killed instantly. , NEW PLYMOUTH, July 2. A distressing shooting fatality occurred on Saturday afternoon »n Pikau road, in. the back country. Stanley Hart and a mate were out pheasant shooting, and while resting the former was leaning on the muzzle of his gun when the charge exploded, shooting away his chest and killing him instantly. The body was brought to Urenui, and at the inquest to-day a verdict of accidental death was returned. Deceased's parent* reside at-Okato.
