The demand for fat cattle is still keen, and beef of prime quality reached high prices. Fat cows ■old at £5 7s 6d, £6 17s 6d to £7 12s €d, heifers £5 12s 6d, £5 10s, £5 12s 6L £8 7s 6d :tb £8 10s.

Sheep—The* .pens were not so largely filled as usualy the total entry being 3689. Owing to export buyers actively operating, the market was exceedingly sound and prices firmed somewhat.
