Sir, —Many residents in the north-west portion of the borough must be very pleased to notice your reference in paper directing the attention of the police authorities to this now notorious gang, - who con(gregate of a night at various parts in and i about North street, etc It would be a great blessing if several of them were lodged in gaol and ■ flogged •or sent to a reformatory, so putting an end to a system of disgraceful larrikinism. ; -, If the police now set to work and break up the gang, they will well deserve the respect and thanks of the law-abiding "residents of tihe locality, in question.
