LAND SALES. After the stock sale at Terauka on Tuesday the Canterbury Farmer** Cooperative Association sold several lots of land od account of various clients. Except for the first lot trfered, the bidding was very spirited, and high prices were realised. A half-acre section, with cottage, in the'Tenraka Borottgh isold on account of the estate of the late J. Makolmsan, was boughs by Mr D. Seatoa at £56, the price starting at £SO. Eleven acres of the same estate on the Waitohi Road fetched £3Q per acre, the purchaser being Mr Dtggory Pearse, the bids start reg at £ls. Four acres adjoining were bought by Mr M. Preddy at £26. The goodwill of lease in perpetuity of about 35 acres at the Orakipoa settlement was passed at £135, the ■vendor being Mr A. Washington. Four nundred and ninety pounder were paid by Messrs MeCabe Bros, for the. goodwill of a farm of 312 acres at Waitohi, which was sold on aecount of the bankrupt estate of Mr T. Thornley. This last lot elicited very spirited competition.
