The Legislative Committee has submitted a drastic report for reform, in 'American Insurance Companies. It recommends annual -dividends, settlement of claims, within thirty days of proof, curtailment 'of extravagance in s&aries. refor»j in investments, and fair ballot fbY offices. Publicity is' demanded in order to'Sfcure policyholders against devious management- and subterfuge. Companies are forbidden to control subsidiary companies, <r Ci.vcmmont or State.
