The Right Hon. the Premier -and Mrs Seddon, and the Hon. Sir J. G. Ward were passengers by the second express for Dunedin yesterday. The Premier -was on his -way to Lawrence, to cut the first so<i of the Lawrence-Roxburgh branch railway, to-day; and Sir Joseph was, bound, for lnvercargill, to address his •constituents at various points in his electorate. The Hon. W. Hall-Jones, the Mayor, Mr Evans, Mr Kirk and other old friends ; of "the Premier met him at the statiorf and chatted while the train halted^ The Premier, speaking of his meeting at Christehureh the night before, said it was a magnificent one, but there was a party, about in knots, through the building.: who hindered the progress of the address for some time, but after half an hour or so they tired, and he got on first rate after that.
