MINISTERS IN MOTION
The Right Hon. the Premier -and Mrs Seddon, and the Hon. Sir J. G. Ward were passengers by the second express for Dunedin yesterday. The Premier -was on his -way to Lawrence, to cut the first so<i of the Lawrence-Roxburgh branch railway, to-day; and Sir Joseph was, bound, for lnvercargill, to address his •constituents at various points in his electorate. The Hon. W. Hall-Jones, the Mayor, Mr Evans, Mr Kirk and other old friends ; of "the Premier met him at the statiorf and chatted while the train halted^ The Premier, speaking of his meeting at Christehureh the night before, said it was a magnificent one, but there was a party, about in knots, through the building.: who hindered the progress of the address for some time, but after half an hour or so they tired, and he got on first rate after that. His remarks showed that he was well satisfied with the meeting, on the whole all but a minority being- most friendly.. ' ' , '_The: Premier is not likely to give an: address in Dunedin, and he has -provision-' ally- arranged- to return through Timaru on Monday. Sir Joseph Ward will remain longer in the south. The former was; complimented by his friends on hie manifest restoration to health, and indeed he looks very well. Cheers were given for the Ministers as the train moved away
