COMMONWEALTH VOLUNTEERS. MELBOURNE. November 30. A return shows that the Volunteer forces of the Commonwealth decreased from 28. 812 in 1901. to 20.466 in the present year. THE HARVESTER INDUSTRY. Petition* have been presented to the Federal Houses on bthalf of employers and employees of the harvester industry, asking for increased protection. BOWLING. In the bowling contest New South Wales beat Victoria by 116 to 96 points.
