DANGERS OF ELECTRICITY. United Press Association—Per Electric .... Telegraph—Ccpvright. FREMANTLK, "November 29. A man named White was painting an electric service pole when his arms came in contact with a " live" wire. . His flesh began to burn, and a comrade lent him assistance, but he was unable to move until the current i-as cut off. White was terribly burned, but never lost consciousness. He was lowered to the street by means of ropes.

Youdale. while driving home from Timaru on Tuesday afternoon in a gig, met with a nasty accident. The wheels of .the vehicle skidded en the rails of the Harbour Bpai-d's tramway at Cabot's road crossing, and the. gig went over, throwing lit Youdale out and the fall .snapped one of the bones of his leg. He pulled up the horse, -all right, the flagman at the crossing obtained assistance, the resident surgeon at the hospital was telephoned for. and a. constable went out and drove Mr Yondale to the hospital., ' j
