The combined fleet- landed 400 marines and occupied the Customs, rind other, public buildings at Mitylene. The Turkish garrison have retired to their barracks, which an Austrian detachment is watching. THE PORTE GIVES WAY. Received 11.12 p.m., November 28th. VIENNA, November 27. The Vienna Press state that. Tewfik Pasha has informed -Baron. Calice, ■ the Austro-Hungarian Minister at Constantinople, that the Porte has decided to accecpt the demands of the Powers. Baron Calice has requested that the assurance be put in writing, which up to the present he has not- received.
