CLEARING' SALE. The Canterbury Farmers' , Co-operative Association (Limited.) per Messrs Mundell and. Morgan,, auctioneers, report holding a clearing sale of live stock and farming plant on account of Mr Jas. Campbell, at his, farm, close to Merven township yesterday. There was a large attendance of buyers from the surrounding districts and. every lot coming under the hammer -vras keenly competed for and sold at' full market values. The vendor having sold his farm there was no reserve on any of the lots. T/EMUKA STOCK SALE. There "was a very good, yarding: of sheep, cattle, and pigs and the attendance was "up to the average. The sheep market was good throughout, and store pigs sold exceptionally well. . Prices were as follows:—Cattle: Pat steers, 2 at £9 12s ; 6d, .4 at £7 ss, smaller sorts at .£6 10s and £5 10s, -2 fat heifers at £5 ss, 1 fat heifer at £4 17s 6d, 1 fat cow at £7 3s; stores, 20 18 months old' steers at £2 2s, heii'ers. (2-year-old) at £2 2s, 218 months ; old . steers at £1 18s 6d, 14 lieifers (IS months) at: 54s 6d, springers at £4 17s 6d, £5, £5 10s, £6, calves at Bs, 14s, 1 at Is, vealers at 20s, 1 cow in profit at £5 65, : 1 teifer (springing) £3. Sheep, 1745 were yarded; we there, 20 fat shorn, at 18s, 20 ditto at 17s 6d (passed), •16 ewes and' 2 wethers s.horn, at 19s, 28 shorn 4-tooth at 18s (passed), 27 not offered, 58 shorn at 17s (passed), 64 4 and 6-tooth at 18s; 502' 4 and 6-tooth 15s 9d ' (passed), 166 2-tooth wethers stores at 15s, 4d, 161 stores at 14s 8d (passed), fat ewee 32 at 15s 7d, 38 ditto at 15s 6d, 32 ditto at 16s sd, 20 ditto at 14s; hoggets, 510 mixed- sexes (in ther wool) at 17s lOd; breeding erwes, 50 aged and 50 lambs at 9s sd. ASHBURTON STOCK SALE. Per Press Association. ASHBUBTON, November 28. At the Tinwald yards there was an entry of between 60 and 70 cattle. Stores were not in demand and bidding was very slack. Springing cows sold at £5 2s 6d to £5 10s, cow in 'calf £5 15s. Compe-! tition for butchers' beef was moderately j keen; last- week's rates were well maintained. . Fat heifers brought £4 7s 6d to '£6' lOs, fat cows £5 10s 6d, £6, £7 '£B, well finished steers £5 5s to £5 12s 6a, fat bullocks £6 17s 6d to £7 10s. ; : £The entry of sheep was two thousand odd ; the -bulk, were stores, mostly ewes with lambs. Fat halfbred ewes.-sold at 15s to 21s 3d, fat ewes in the wool 24s 7d, shorn 2-tcoth wethers 16s > 3d, wether hoggets £l. The store , sheep sale'commenced in a - dragging fashion,, several fair-sized consignments being passed iu.
