THE NELSON COLLEGE CASE.
VERDICT FOR DEFENDANTS. Per Press Association. NELSON, November 27. In tie. action Nelson College Governors at the instance of the combined insurance companies v. Savage and Sons, a claim for £9970, for the alleged negligent use of % pressure burner in violation of the contract, • leading to the destruction of the Boys College, the Judge said that the issue was whtlier.such a burner caused the fire. The jury by an eleven-twelfths-- majority answered in the negative and returned a rerdict for defendants. The question of appeal is being considered, a fortnight being allowed for decision.
