The following will play for Timaru A against Temuka : —Anderson, Cox, Gibson, E. Crawford, Jackson, Moody, Simjison, White, Williams (2), and another. The drag will leave Bank of New Zealand corner at 1 p.m. The match Timaru v. Civil Service will be played on Saturday on the Athletic Grounds, commencing at 2.15 sharp. Timaru will be represented as follows : —Crisp, Dalgleish, Freidman, Gibson, Kennedy, ' Morrison, Nees, Orwin, Smith, Tapper, White, Wright. The South and Waimataitai schools played their match in the first, round of the schools cricket competition yesterday afternoon, when the South boys won a close game by seven runs,' scoring 44 runs to their opponents 37. For the winners Donoghue with 11 was chief scorer, and Dalgleish 25 (not out) came out top for the losers. On Saturday next a team from the Main school will travel to Waimate to meet the boys there.
