Messrs Dalgety and Co., report under date, London, October 19th :—" Since our last telegram tallow in general is nominally lower by 6d to 9d per cwt; the mar-; ket is very dull with hardly any business doing." The. Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company, have received the following cable message from their London office:— "Frozen meat market—Owing to a reduction in the market price of Argentine mutton, New Zealand mutton has declined in value. There is also a fall in values of New Zealand lamb and beef. To-dav's quotations are—Canterbury mutton, Napier, Wellington and North Island mutton, 3gd ; lamb, first quality, 5Jd ; second quality s|d. Beef, hindquarters, 3£d; forequarters, 2|d."
