REASON OF THE-OUTRAGE.
United Press Association—Per Electric Telegraph^Copyright. 'SYDNEY,- September 15. A '■' German military", officer from New Guinea states that the authorities afc New Britain do not think the massacre portends a rising against the whites. It is reported to be merely the work of Toman in seven ae for being punished by the Govern-ment-for interfering with the wife of another native.
