Copra—l7id is offered for cargoes near shipment. The Antwerp wool sales will be held from September 14th to 16th, when 9000 bales of La Plata will be offered. Copper, on spot, £57 10s; three months, £57 12s 6d. Lead, £ll 15s per ton. Galvanised iron, £l4 10s per ton for best; £l4 for second qualities. Silver, 2s per oz. New Zealand mutton—Canterbury is unchanged.; Dunedin and Southland, 4 l-16d : North'-lsland, 3 15-16 dto 4d. Lambs— Canterbury, light, 5 13-16 d ; heavy, sfd ; Dunedin and Southland, 5 9-16 d; North Island, sjd. New Zealand beef—Ox forequarters, Plate sheep—Heavy, 3gd ; light, 3Jd, Beef —Ox forequarters, 27-16 d ; ; hindquarters, 3 7-16 d. A cargo of Australian wheat has been sold at 31s 9d.
Received 10.48 p.m.. September 12th. SYDNEY, September 12. At the Homebush sales sheep were firm. Crossbreds were scarce. Wethers sold at 22s 6d, and ewes at 20s 3/1. Cattle wet-: dearer. Best bullocks sold at £lO 4s to £ll 17s 6d, good £9 ss, best cows £7 10s to £8 10s, good £6 10s.
