The revenue collected at the Customhouse,- Timaru, during the week ended, Saturday, 10th September, was, Customs duties;, £524 3s lid; beer duty, £3O 7s 9d; Other receipts, 18s 8d; -total. £555 10s 4d. , TATTERSALL'S HORSE MARKET. The Canterbury. Farmers' Co-operative Association, Limited, report on the horse market at Tattersall's yards for Saturday as: follows:—The entries comprised 41 draught, light harness and hackney horses. South Canterbury Clydesdale breeders were specially interested in the consignment of Clydesdale mares, fillies and geldings, to be sold on account of Mr William Lawranca, of Melbourne. " The mares were all pedigree stock, and breeders were anxious to secure a change of blood for their studs. Competition was very keen, and -a complete clearance was affected at prices hanging from £SO to £IOO. Of our general entries we quote values as under: — Draughts, young, with- trials, £3B, £4O, £42 10s, £4B to £SO; ditto light and aged, £23, £26 10s to £SO; light harness sorts, £lB to £27; hackneys £6, £7 10s to £9.
