The " Daily Telegraph's" Berbera correspondent states that Captain Stewart, the last of Colonel Plunkett's officers left alive, was wonnded in seven places. He shot? four of the enemy with a revolver. A Somali then killed him. The Mullah flayed the Somali alive, being disappointed in not capturing a living officer.
