LYTTELTON REGATTA.

Per Press Association. LYTTELTON, January 1. Lyttelton Regatta, took place to-day in splendid weather. A fresh sonth-west breeze was blowing. There was a large attendance. Fourteen thousand persons booked for Lyttelton at Christchutcb alone up to 4 p.m. The Amelia Sims won the schooner race. 'The Kia Ora beat the Waitangi in the second-claas yacht race. The Waterwitch won the third-class yacht race. Tha Petoca crew won tue junior pairs. All the other winnirs in the rowing races were from variou.* Canterbury clnba. The- Lvtteltoa Ciab was not represented at all.
