BOWLING.

Three rinks from the Ashburton Bowling Club played a match-with our local bowlers on the Timaru green yesterday afternoon. Play started at 2 p.m., and at the finish of the game the Timaru men had a substantial majority of 25 points to their credit. The green was in very good order, and the game all through was a most enjoyable one. At the end of the match the visitors were supplied with some welcome refreshments.
