THE DAIRY COMPANY.

To the Editor of the "Timaru Herald." Sir,—l see . a letter in Saturday's issue, commenting on the appointment of a managing director for the company. Theie is no need for one, to my mind, as there are sufficient paid officials at present, I have spoken to a number of milk-suppliers, and they agree with " Shareholder's" letter. I "also think that all directors' meetings should be open to the press as it would be more satisfactory to have all transactions published. I am told that when some of the milk suppliers wanted another director appointed they would not entertain the idea,"" I hope that they will give us fuller reports and keep all salaries down as much as possible for the present. I am, etc.. . MILK SUPPLIER. January 21st, 1902.
