THE HOME MARKETS. Tiie Colcniu Consignment and Distributing Company has received the following caole message from London :—" Frozen meat.—The price for Canterbury mutton is 3id_; Napier, vVelLington and North Isliicd, 3^d; first quality lamb, 4Jd; second <iuality lambj 4£d." ST. ANDREWS STOCK SALE. There was an entry of about 2500 sheep at St. Andrews yesterday. There was a gotd attendance of bnyers and. a good demand lor all classes of "stock. The following are quotations:—Fat and extra fat ewes, 9s ad to 13s Id; fat and forward wethers, 12s 9d to 13s; ewes and lambs (all counted), 7s 2d to 9s 2d; two-tooth •ewes, lis to 12s ; two-tooth backward welters, 10s Sd to lis. Aj soma holders have this week shown a tendency to meet buyers, there is more activity in the wheat market, and sales have bean made at 2s lid, L0.0b., sacks •extra. The sales have given the market a .firmer tone, but holders of prime lines st2l hold on for 3s, which price they exject to see given before the new grain is on the market. There is now praetie--ally no '"fowl wheat" to be got, and to meet daily demands good wheat is being disposed of at 2s 9d for whole and 2s 6d for broken, f.o.b. The quotations for oats, 2s to 2s 2d, are nominal, as the marlet is abiist baie. Canadians are worth Id more. There are very few enquiries, owing no doubt to the near approach of "■harvest.
