THE PRIMITIVE METHODIST CONFERENCE.

Per Press Association. • WELLINGTON, January 17. The Primitive Methodist Conference closed this evening. The final draft of stations was adopted to-day, with the following alterations: Wellington (1) Rev. S. Bailey instead of Rev. G. H. Mann, whose resignation was regretfully accepted. Auckland (1; —A minister from England instead of the Rev. Mr Bailey. Feilding—One from England instead of the Rev. Mr Jones. A motion was adopted strongly protesting against any attempt to alter the Coronation Oath in such a way as to weaken the cause of Protestantism and the Imperial Protestant succession. Statistics of the church showed 29 ministers,' one circuit missionary, two home missionaries, 139 local preachers, 2144 church members, 4/17 scholars, 8390 hearers; and that church property was Talued at £42,5^)5.
