WESTPORT, November 7.

At the Magistrates' Court to-day, before Mr Hawkins, S.M., George White, charged with wilfully and unlawfully making false statements with intent to secure a larger pension than he was entitled to, was convicted and fined £5 and coats 16s. William White, similarly charged, was convicted and fined £3 and 15s costs, and his pension was cancelled.
