The City Rifles opened their season with a match Non-commissioned Officers versus Privates on Thursday and Saturday last The conditions of the match were five shots each at 400 yds, 500 yds and 600 yds, Government targets and scoring. The privates did not roll up as they should have done, otherwise they would have been able to turn the tables on the non-commissioned officers, who just wort by six points.
