Senior cup cricket matches commenced to-day. In the United against Sydenham the former put on 121 runs in the first innings. Sims (not out) 31 and Vincent 27 were the principal scorers. Sydenham have lost six wickets for 41 runs. In Lancaster Park against .Midland the latter made 128 in the first innings (R. Barry, sen., 36, R. Barry, jun., 39, and McDonald, 26, were the principal scores). Callaway took five wickets for 40 runs ; A. Wilding, three wickets for 28 runs. Lancaster Park have two wickets down for 80 (Callaway, not out, 43, A. Wilding, not out, 21).
