ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL. The final football match for the Association Cup, played under Association rules at the* Crystal Palace Ground, the contesting clubs being Sheffield United and Tottenham Hotspur, resulted in a draw, and will be replayed at Balton on Saturday. The attendance at the match was 115,000. Received 9.2 a.m., April 23rd. OFFER TO CONSTRUCT A CANAL. A British syndicate has offered to construct and control a canal from Lake Huron to Montreal, via the Ottawa river, at a cost of £13,000,000. DISASTROUS FLOOD. A flood at Pittsberg, America, caused 3,000,000 dollars' worth of damage, and threw 1000 men out of employment. A PECULIAR ACCIDENT. A 27-ton gun was being landed at Dover when the chain broke and the gun fell, the muzzle piercing the vessel's bottom, and she was kept afloat with difficulty. COAL FOR COLONIAL STATIONS. The Chamber of Commerce at Gibraltar has petitioned Sir Michael Hicks Beach against taking the coal intended for colonial coaling stations. Received 10.30 p.m., April 23rd. A ROYAL ESTATE. King Edward has purchased an estate near Carnarvon. ""
