This morning Gunga Din and Advance, the latter galloping unkindly, got. once round in 2min. 37sec, Cicero joining, in after three furlongs had been covered, wanning the pace up for them. Fulminate, who was showing the effects of recent hard work was easily beaten by Kalari over seven furlongs. Received 1.8 a.m., April 2nd. Betting is quiet on the Doncaster Handicap". Quotations "are:—3 to 1 against Wakeful, 8 to 1 against Ferryman, 10 to 1 against Australian and Aurus, and 14 to 1 against Kalani. For the Sydney Cup Clean Sweep is favourite at 5 to 1 against, San Fran 6 to 1, La Carabine 7 to 1. Wakeful would have been backed at 8 to 1 if the money was forthcoming but it was not.
