United Press Association—Per EkiCtrio Telegraph—Copyright. Received 9.4 a.m., April Ist. PARIS, March 31. The strike of Marseilles dock labourers has ended. The chief agitator was sentenced to three months' imprisonment. Received 1.15 a.m., April 2nd. PARIS, April 1. A renewal of the dockers' strike at Marseilles has occurred. The foremen who remained on duty throughout have now joined the strikers in favour of eight hours. P«c Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 1. A number of bricklayers went on strike to-day. They have no Union, but recently came to an agreement with their empoyer that the wages after May Ist would be 12s per day for 44 hours a week. A number of men to-day demanded that the advance should take place from April Ist, and on this being refused they went on strike. Some employers are not jiffected by the strike, but in other cases all hands have left work. CHRISTCHURCH, April 1. The main items in the recommendations of the Conciliation Board in the slaughtermen's dispute, are-that the first slaughterman should receive £3 10s per week dry pay; second slaughterman, £3; all others £2 10b; hours of labour, 50 hours per week; overtime, at the rate of time and a quarter. The Conciliation Board was occupied all to-day considering the log submitted by the Printers' and Machinists' Union and rejected by the master printers. The masters also submitted a log, and the Board decided to recommend the adoption of this, making the wages of journeymen £3 per week and the hours of labour 48. On Thursday the Board will hear the dispute in connection with the Hairdressers' and Tobacconists' Assistants' Union.
