Only three events were got off, when it was decided to i postpone the rest till next day. Picton offered to row the Champion Fours over i again, but the officials decided that it was a race, and therefore they retain the ' championship. 1 Star won the maiden four ; T. Spencer (Wellington), the champion skulls, and Picton the champion fours. Star also ■ started, but were nearly swamped* > Canterbury and Aramoho declined to row as the water was not sufficiently smooth.
