PRESIDENT KRUGER INTERVIEWED. WORK FOR THE BUSHMEN.
Received March 21st, 9.20 a.m. London, March 20. President Kruger m the course of an interview said he did not expect outside help, v Forty thousand Boers are fighting to conquer or die, and he would accept no Convention. He claimed absolute independence and amnesty for disloyalists. He recently admitted that the Boers would be unable to keep the field for a month. Colonel Kitchener has occupied Prieska unopposed. The rebels surrendered. It ia reported that Major-General Sir Frederick Carrington forms a field force of 5000 to protect Rhodesia, including 2500 Australian Bushmen.
