February 27. Great indignation is felt at the denial by the Duke of Orleans that he wrote congratulating M." Willette, the caricaturist of the Queen m the Petit Journal pour Eire, a satirical paper published m Paris. The Duke's denial is not believed m France or England. M. Blowitz, the Times Paris correspondent, states that the Duke has gone to Lisbon m response to a hint that his residence m England will probably be unpleasant. The incident has disgusted many of the Dake's supporters. THE INDIAN FAMINE FUND. The Lord Mayor's fund m aid of the Indian famine amounts to £100,000.
