IMPORTANT CIVJL CASK. jl sThe Bank of New South Wales has commenced an action against tho Governor nnd others in regard to £5700 advance? on overdraft on the Australia hotel, limited, Cook»ardie, the defendants being the guarantors. The defence is that the bank negligently realised its security, and that assets worth £15,000 were sold for £2000. The evidence
showed that a letter by the Governor eulogising the undertaking was sent to England to assist the sale of the company's shares, A BIG NUGGET.
