Received September 14th, 5.10 p.m. Sydn-ev, September 14. There was again tine weather for the Australian Jockey Club meeting. The results are as follows : — lIUiiUUCS. Orlando, 10*t 121b 1 Gladntoie, lOnt liJlo 2 Havelock, lOat 61b 3 Ten started. Orland > was favourite at 5 to 2. Her Highness led uatil the home tarn on the second round, when the favourite, who had been handy throughout, came through and won by two lengths. Time— smin 58£sec. Craven I'latk. JLe Var 1 Cocoa 2 WaterColour 3 Others starters were— Voyon, Hopacotch, Whakawatea and Djm Djin. Betting— Even money Cocoa, 4 to 1 Le Var, 6 to 1 Hopscotch, 7 to 1 Water Color. Voyon got best away from a good, atart, but Hopscotch quickly displaced and led to the turn. Cocos was in front as they entered the straight, but nearing the St. Legcr stand Le Var on the rails swooped down on the leaders, and after ■a good finish won by a length. lime— 2oain 9sec\
Kcbukhan Handicap. Parapet, 7s t 7lb J Bobby Burns. B=t 71b 2 k Jyanide, 7s t 121b 3 '' Twenty-nine started. Betting— 2 to 1 against Cordon, 20 to 1 H Parapet. Koselite led a bunched field to the straight, but on nearing the distance post Parapet took charge, and after a net to with Bobby Burns and Cyanide won by three-quarters of a length. Time -Iraim 28£sec. c Dltf Memorial Stakes. Sequence ... ... ... 1 Promontory 2 Dewey ... ... ... 3 Eight, started. , Betting — Even money Sequence, 7 tol 1 Dewey, 10 to 1 Promontory. Promontory, with Sequence lying on i his quarters, led to the turn, but Sei quence was first into the straight and t eventually won easily by a length. Time lmin 4l£sec. » Dewey carried 10!b penalty. , WvcoMBK Stakes. , Cranberry, 8-it s'b 1 Mazzatina, 7.«t 21b 2 Flodden, 9st4lb 3 The only other starter was April [ Fool. [ Betting — 3 tol on Cranberry, sto 1 i against Mazzatma. April Fo'>l was quickest under way, followed by Flodden, Cranberry and Maz zatina, in that order Excepting that Cranberry slightly improved his position there waa no change until turning for home, where the f ivourite was on ■ terms.
