The Canterbury Farmers' Co-operative Association, limited, report under date, Timaru, 9th June, 1899, as follows:— The market for wheat and oats is steady at under-mentioned quotations :— Wheat.— Tuscan and velvet, 2s 2d to 2a 3d, on trucks Timaru, for prime ; red chaff and Webb's challenge, 2s Id to 2a lid, f.0.b., according to sample; good whole fowl wheat, Is B£d to Is 9£d, f.0.b. ; seconds, Is 5d to Is 6d, f.0.b., for clean samples, sacks extra. Oats.— Duns, Is 3d to Is 4d, f.0.b., for best quality ; Is 2d to Is 2±d for f.a.q. ; Danish, la 2d to Is 3d, f.0.b.; sparrowbills, Is 2£d to Is 3£d, f.0.b. ; Canadians, Is 6d on trucks, Timaru. Potatoes.— Dull of sale at from 22s 6d to 278 6d, f.0.b., sacks m. Per PreßS Association. DUNEDIN, June 9. At the fat stock sales prices were on the whole good. Two very heavy Shorthorn bullocks realised £21 10s, five ihtee-quarter-bred Leicester lambs 28s, half bred Shropshire lambs 18s 6d, second prize Shropshire wethers 21s 6d, merinos from Hakateramea 20s 6d, half bred wethers from the same estate 365. The prices for hoggets termed lambs ranged from 13a to 325.
